Where I Started
Hi, I’m Emily. I was born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, PA.
Art, in any and all forms, has been the ultimate constant in my life. Ever since I could hold a pencil on my own, I’ve sought out ways to bring my imagination to life through sketches, paintings, photos, videos and more.
Naturally my love of art expanded into to an equal love of story telling, as I believe the two are intertwined. I spent countless hours diving headfirst into stories I loved and eventually writing my own.
As I got older, my love of stories evolved into an interest in journalism. I felt called to a career in writing and studied Professional Writing, Communications and Public Relations at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania all the while keeping my passion for creating art going through personal projects.
Through exploration and natural evolution, I learned to combine my love of story telling and artistic creation into photography, videography and social media content.
When I’m not working on a project, you can find me out and about exploring Philly with my husband, learning how to master watercolor painting, and reading anywhere from 1 to 100 books at a time.
Where I’m Going
I always strive to bring my love for art, storytelling and exploring new ways to create to my professional experiences.
My journey began in the Tourism and Destination Marketing industry where I learned that my love for travel and exploration could extend to the last place I expected; my hometown. Through writing about, capturing and creating content showcasing all there is to see, do and experience in my area, I learned how to tell the stories I came across and how bring them to life with vivid images and dynamic visuals.
As I progress in my professional career, I’ve discovered that while I’ll never change, I’ll never stay the same. My core values and passions remain constant, but my approach to challenges, my understanding of the world, and my skills have evolved in ways I couldn't have predicted. Each experience, whether it’s a new project, a difficult conversation, or a moment of reflection, shapes me into someone slightly different than I was before.
While the essence of who I am — my integrity, curiosity, and drive — stays grounded, I’ve learned to adapt, grow, and embrace change as an integral part of the journey. In this way, I’ve realized that personal and professional growth is not about altering who you are at the core, but about expanding your capacity to evolve while staying true to your values.
